An innovative corporate project to demonstrate chemistry's enormous capacity to provide answers to the economic, social and environmental needs of humankind.
SMART CHEMISTRY SMART FUTURE was launched and held for the first time in 2014, and the second edition was held in 2017. This project constitutes a unique meeting point headed by the FEIQUE (Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry) and Expoquimia, with the most important companies and organisations from the country's chemical sector in attendance. Its third edition will take place in 2021.

The initiative, involving the leading companies and organisations in the Spanish chemical industry, is focusing its efforts on demonstrating the crucial role of chemistry in resolving major global challenges and helping to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
THE ECONOMY
The chemical sector's contribution to the economy for a sustainable future will be dealt with in this area. The Spanish Chemical Industry generates 13.4% of the Gross Industrial Product and 670,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs. It is also the second largest exporter of the Spanish economy and the leading investor in environmental protection and RDI.
